Welcome

eps is one of the fastest growing providers of maintenance and refurbishment services in the South East. We deliver specialist services to Social Housing landlords including domestic gas and electrical works, all from our own directly employed workforce, and are heavily committed to resident involvement and local employment.

At eps, commitment and service to the resident come as a standard. Enthusiasm and a determination to succeed also apply at every level of our organisation. It makes eps different from the rest.

Our staff are trained to treat each home they visit as if it were their own by completing every job efficiently and courteously with the minimum of inconvenience.

For our work to bring homes to the Decent Homes standard, a Resident Involvement Officer is appointed so that you are brought closer to us, in order that your needs are heard and met.

To find out what work eps does for you, or to report a repair, first tell us who your landlord is. Please do so by typing your landlord’s name in the Landlord Finder and click the SUBMIT button.

Gaining the TPAS Quality Mark for Contractors

The Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) has awarded EPS the Quality Mark for Resident Involvement for Contractors at the Chartered Institute of Housing Conference in Brighton in March.

TPAS carried out a thorough investigation of our resident involvement in 3 of our social housing areas – first of all looking at all our information such as policies, procedures, training, and then talked to staff and tenants to find out if we did what we said we did! EPS met the standards required in order to gain this prestigious award. We can’t be complacent however as although the resident involvement framework is in place, this needs to be developed so that it is firmly established within the culture and practices throughout social housing and TPAS will be back in 3 years to check that it is!

The three areas that were investigated were as follows:

Tower Hamlets: TPAS felt that good relations were built with residents, particularly with tenants and residents associations. They liked ‘The Day in the Life of a Repair’ event that Tower Hamlets had carried out and also the ‘Open Repairs Days’ where EPS staff carry out all repairs on an estate on one day.

Waverley: TPAS were pleased with the close relationship that EPS had built with the Tenants Panel and that EPS had held local meetings in Waverley – giving all tenants the chance in Waverley to talk to EPS managers.

Newham Homes: TPAS felt the information given to tenants was excellent and liked the ‘Meet the contractor’ events.
TPAS also stated that EPS’s Residents Involvement Policy was the ‘best they had seen’ and would ‘use it in future as an example of good practice’. They liked the operatives Code of Conduct and thought the reference guide to faiths and customs ‘Should I take off my shoes’ was excellent. They also thought the survey for tenants that we have carried out in Tower Hamlets, Portsmouth and Waverley was good.
